The most recognizable causes of this overgrowth (which can be present in both men and women) occur due to changes in the body’s natural balance. The changes can include:

* poor nutrition

* hormonal changes due to medications, including antibiotics and birth-control pills,

* increased amounts of sugar,

* weak immune systems, and

* other factors that disrupt the body’s normal environment.

Natural remedies for yeast infection work to restore the body’s balance, and to return the growth of the Candida albicans mircooganisms to normal levels.

Foods and Yeast Infections

Fermented foods such as breads, yeast, and beers can cause an overgrowth of the normal yeast that is found in the body. During times of yeast infections, fermented foods and sugars should be avoided. Conversely, acidophilus-containing yogurts, garlic and unsweetened cranberry or blackberry juice should be ingested regularly as they have been shown to prevent and reduce infections.

Hygiene

Women who experience recurring yeast infections, may find relief by washing the vaginal area with clean water and apple cider vinegar immediately after using the toilet.

Vitamins

Since yeast infections thrive when the body provides it with an alkaline environment, experts also agree that yeast infections can be greatly reduced by taking vitamins that are highly acidic (such as Vitamin C).

When it comes to herbal products, one of the most popular in the United States is St. John’s wort, with its scientific name, Hypericum perforatum. The history of its use dates back to ancient Greek as it was believed to be effective for getting rid of evil spirits that supposedly invade a person’s body and cause different ailments.

According to studies, this plant that blooms yellow flowers contains numerous chemical compounds which includes hypericin and pseudohypericin as well as flavonoids and essential oils. St. John’s wort has been used in various studies as treatment for mild to moderate depression. How these chemical compounds work, however, has yet to be confirmed among suggested theories. Reports show that it is equally effective as tricyclic anti-depressants with less manifestation of side effects. Nevertheless, it is not without its side effects as it interacts with certain drugs.

St. John’s wort can also used for other depression-related conditions like alcoholism as studies on animals show that its helps in reducing cravings for alcohol. Improvements on mood for people with seasonal affective disorder (SAD) had been reported when it is used along with light therapy. Results regarding providing relief for premenstrual syndrome (PMS) symptoms such as irritability, food cravings, cramps and tenderness of the breast had also been reported.

St. John’s wort has been used as treatment for anxiety and depression as it apparently improves the mood and reduces symptoms. It is important to note, however, that studies on treatments are limited to mild to moderate depression and may have adverse effects if taken with particular medications. Self-medication is therefore discouraged, particularly for treatment of severe depression.

The cause of the hair loss is thought to be an internal attack on the hair follicles by white blood cells that mistakenly identify hair tissues as being diseased. The severity of hair loss depends on the extent of the attack and on how effectively the attacked tissue defends itself and recovers. Life events that are traumatic or stressful, allergic reactions to medications, and poor diet are all known causes of hair loss.

Natural Treatments For Hair Loss

Treatments for hair loss work to restore the body’s natural balance, and may include changes in diet and lifestyle.

Natural remedies used to stop hair loss include sage, rosemary, nettle root, saw palmetto, graphites, calcarea, hepar-sulph, rhus-tox, and sepia.

To restore hair growth naturally, muria puama, uva-ursi extract, eleuthero, pumpkin oil extract, nettle root, and saw palmetto are recommended.

The three types of diabetes are:

* Type I diabetes is most common in children and your adults and occurs when there is very little or no insulin produced by the body.

* Type II diabetes is the result of the body to effectively process the insulin that is produced by the body.

* Gestational diabetes is a temporary diabetes that occurs during pregnancy.

Natural Cures for Diabetes

The most widely used natural treatments for diabetes are chromium and Gymnema sylvestre. Chromium works to improve the “good” cholesterol in the body, lower the body weight, and increase the lead body mass. Gymnema sylvestre aids in lowering the blood sugar.

Vitamins, Minerals and Nutrients

Vitamins and minerals are often used on a regular basis to assist the body in providing the necessary glucose into blood cells. Magnesium, Vitamin B6, Manganese, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Zinc, Omega-3, Vitamin B12, Coenzyme Q10, digestive enzymes, and chelation therapy are all recommended to aid the body in controlling and preventing diabetes.

The range can go from affordable to expensive while there apparently is no guarantee that each of them will really work.

Shea Butter - this apparently helps in making stretch marks fade or at least make them less noticeable. But it has to be 100% organic and in its unrefined form. Shea Butter is extracted from Karite Nut tree’s kernel that has healing effects. Apply Shea Butter to affected areas every day and see results after months, depending on the condition of the stretch marks. It is best to use it early on or while stretch marks are still relatively new since it may not be as effective for stretch marks in their advanced stage.

Retin A – a common treatment for wrinkles, Retin A is also used for stretch marks. It can only be purchased with accompanying prescription from your doctor. Pregnant women and those who are breastfeeding must not use Retin A due to possible harm it could do to the baby. It is best used within 6th to 12th week after giving birth, while the stretch marks are still pinkish and a bit tender, otherwise, you are not likely to see results.

Surgical procedures – this includes dermabrasion and chemical peel. These are relatively expensive with micro dermabrasion treatment, costing around $100 to $200 per session considering that this treatment requires at least 10 to 12 sessions to complete. Moreover, most insurance companies consider these treatments as cosmetic and not surgical procedure so they are not likely to be covered.

Most men with prostate cancer and other cancerous tumors look for a cures that will work directly on the cancer itself. However, natural cures work to treat the body as a whole which in effect stimulates the body to rid itself of the cancer.

Prostate Cancer Prevention

Natural preventions to prostate cancer include regular intake of Vitamin A, Vitamin E, selenium and certain estrogens extracted from plants and beans. Green tea is also thought to be a natural treatment of prostate cancer prevention, although the exact data is inconclusive on its effectiveness.

Foods and Prostate Cancer

Strengthening the overall immune system of the body is crucial in effectively removing cancer of the prostate. Foods that are low in saturated fat, fruits (especially tomatoes), and vegetables will naturally provide the body with the energy it needs to protect itself from the cancer.

We all desire to be in good health and enjoy life. Often we take health for granted and only when we are not feeling well start to pay attention to our bodies and causes of ailments. It is much easier to prevent illnesses than to treat them.

Medical research has recognized a direct link between stress and many illnesses. Stress is a chronic state of toxic feelings, such as fear, anger, anxiety, guilt or self-hate. Harboring these feelings over long time will not only make you miserable but they can make you sick too.

During the times we are stressed the body releases hormones adrenalin and cortisol, which instantly increase the heart rate and thicken the blood. They also redirect the blood away from the stomach and extremities. The body is working harder than it has to and over time it will break down and become ill. Stress weakens the body immune function and makes it more susceptible to common colds, flu and tumors.

Stress is a risk factor for many ailments and the most common are heart disease, high blood pressure, adult onset diabetes, stroke, depression and cancer.

Are You Stressed?

· Have you become more irritable and less patient with your family, friends and co-workers?

· Do you lack the energy for work?

· Do you find yourself being more critical and sarcastic?

· Have you lost the ability to experience joy?

· Do you find it difficult to get up in the morning?

· Do you no longer feel joy and satisfaction from being with family or friends?

· Are you using food, drugs or alcohol-to feel better or to dumb your feelings?

If the answer to most of these questions is positive, you are stressed and your health might be at risk. You might be stressed because of marital problems, money worries, or work pressures. Whatever the reasons, you will not able to control the outside sources of stress but you can change your own attitude.

How Maintain Good Health and Reduce Stress?

Positive Thinking and Affirmations

You can maintain good health and prevent diseases by controlling stress. If you build positive beliefs and release negative feelings, you will be less susceptible to stress. For example, if you expected a promotion at work and you did not get it, you might choose to feel disappointed, angry or victimized. Any of these responses will create more stress and endanger your health. If you have a positive outlook you can treat this event as an opportunity to learn and grow.

You can control stress through

· Positive affirmations by using affirmation software Sculptor 3.

· Release of negative emotions by the Sedona Method

· Physical exercise

· Visualizing positive outcomes

· Prayer and meditation

· Healthy diet

· Social support

· Psychotherapy

The risk of erectile dysfunction is greater in men with high total cholesterol levels than in men with low total cholesterol levels. If there is too much cholesterol in your system, blood flow into the penis may simply be blocked since cholesterol sticks to the walls of the arteries, leading to less blood flow into the penis, causing erectile difficulties.

If you smoke, you should consider stopping smoking. Smoking can also cause damage to blood vessels, which may prevent blood flow to the penis. For men with other erectile dysfunction (ED) risk factors, smoking can double their chances of having erectile dysfunction.

The process involves removal of the damaged skin tissue, sealing of blood vessels that were broken and mending the middle skin’s fibers.

Laser treatment for stretch marks is apparently effective although not everybody has been convinced by such claims as some remain apprehensive or openly dispute claims on its effectiveness when it comes to stretch marks removal.

Despite being challenged by certain sectors, laser treatment is in demand among women who wants to get rid of their stretch marks. Distinct advantages include the absence of the possibility of blood loss and infection. Moreover, since the procedure requires the use of anesthesia, it is considered as a painful process which is a big factor to a lot of people. Compared to surgical process, there is hardly a need for recovery time to keep you within the premises of the hospital longer than necessary. This, is another factor that makes more women prefer to choose laser treatment.

The primary consideration for this treatment is the cost. A session can cost anywhere from $250 to $750 and a full treatment can be at least 3 sessions up to 10 sessions, depending on the person’s genetic makeup aside from how fresh or advanced the stretch marks are. It is usually better if the stretch marks are still a bit reddish in color and still relatively raw. For old stretch marks, however, some difficulties may be encountered with regard to laser detection. But new technological breakthroughs apparently have come to address this concern. Finally, just like other treatments, there is still no 100% guarantee that it will work for everybody.
